About Us
The Silk Road Cafe is often considered one of Dublin's best hidden treasures. It's located in the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin Castle with a view over the Castle Garden and next to the Coach House. In 2000 The Silk Road Cafe took over the cafe premises in the museum.
Proprietor and Chef Abraham Phelan decided to base the cuisine on some of the countries represented in the museum. Middle Eastern, North African, Mediterranean and vegetarian dishes are created by Abraham and his team of Arabic chefs using only the finest ingredients and following halal rules.
