For centuries, the hill where Avon Rí Self Catering Hotel in Wicklow is now located looked out over a valley created by the Liffey and King's River. We have taken our name from the latter, and Avon Rí now looks out over the Blessington Lakes – a reservoir created in 1944 by the damming and flooding of the valley. We found it to be such a beautiful setting and motivating location we decided to create something special. A resort of the highest standards that would encourage people to visit the area and stay a while to enjoy the landscape, partake in activities on the lake and in the countryside, and then be able to relax afterwards in a welcoming, familiar atmosphere with ideal Accommodation in County Wicklow.
